EMERGE:NCY (2023) received the CIRCA2023 Public Vote Prize, announced by Michèle Lamy.

During Frieze Week on October 9, 2023, EMERGE:NCY (2023) was awarded the CIRCA2023 Public Vote Prize, presented by Michèle Lamy during a takeover of the Piccadilly Lights following a global public vote.

The work was made to strike a chord with themes of structural determinism and the pursuit of individual agency. Developed by filming live-action performance within a physical, to-scale architectural model of the display, the work remapped spatial footage to simulate a figure attempting to break through Europe's largest commercial LED billboard.

The award includes £10,000 in support for the artist duo’s ongoing new media practice.
